OPA residents vow to work with developer on Ridgeline/Sully Miller plan

At the request of the Orange Park Acres Real Estate Committee, the City of Orange has hired a land use consulting firm to assist with the creation of an equitable development plan for the Ridgeline and Sully Miller Properties.
Under the agreement, Hogle-Ireland will work with the developer, John Martin (JMI) and the OPA Board to facilitate a building plan that benefits the community, the developer and the city. The firm’s fees are being paid by JMI and the Orange Park Acres Association Board. more

What a great 4th of July Parade we had! Thanks to everyone who participated and watched and to John Cox and Richard Siebert for organizing it. Special thanks go to the MacMillans who arraigned for the skydivers to open the parade. I would also be remiss if I did not thank Salem for opening their facilities for the parade.

Who gave permission to “sell out” the OPA Specific Plan? A self-appointed coalition has entered into an agreement with the owners of the Sully-Miller site and has bargained away the Specific Plan that has governed OPA  for 35 years. more

Vocal Few Hope to Drive Development Decision

You can’t open a newspaper today without seeing some article on the housing crisis.  Mortgage lenders are going bankrupt, banks are writing down billions of dollars in home loans and the homebuilders that have survived are hanging by a thread. more
